Services for Howard Charles "Chip" Bacon, 46, of Lubbock, TX, will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Stake Center (7104 Frankford Ave. Lubbock, TX) on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at 10:30 am. Officiating will be Bishop Jeff Cluff. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery, Amarillo, TX at 2:30 Tuesday. Howard was born on July 18, 1966 in Amarillo, TX and passed away after a long battle with brain cancer September 28, 2012. He was married to Vicki Swenson Bacon on June 30, 1988.
Howard Bacon was a 20 year employee of Southwestern Public Service Company. He worked as a distribution dispatcher and electrician. He attended Caprock High School in Amarillo, TX and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Howard is survived by his wife, Vicki Bacon, his sons Matthew (22) and Joshua (17), his sister Donna Gore of Portland, TX , his brother Michael Bacon of Dallas, TX and his father Eddie Howard Bacon of Amarillo, TX. Survivors also include Harvey and Laura Swenson of Lubbock, TX, nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins.
