Larry Mosley was born Jan. 20, 1951 in Tyler, Mo. He died Aug. 31, 2012 at Barnes Jewish Hosp. in St. Louis, Mo. He was the son of the late Matthew and Eunice Webb Mosley. He was one of nine siblings. His parents, three brothers, Bennis L. Sims, Francis Sylvester Mosley and Gilbert Earl Mosley, and one sister Glennis Gipson preceded him in death.
Larry professed a faith and accepted Christ at an early age. He was a 1971 graduate of Louisville High School in Louisville, Georgia. Larry cultivated soil and produced crops for many years; owned a successful lawn service, was a bus driver for special school events, provided custodial service and also mentored young and upcoming athletes for more than 35 years at Scott County Central School.
Larry leaves to cherish precious memories, his wife Dasie Mosley, one son, Mark Anthony Mosley, four sisters and two brothers in law; Patricia McBride of Jefferson City, Mo., Juanita (Fred) Johnson of Sikeston, Mo., Margie (Bernard) Gross of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Nina Kellum of St. Louis Mo. Five grandchildren, Markita, Bobby, Halle, Khiali and Paris, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 5, at Driver Funeral Home and Funeral Services will be held on Friday, Sept. 6, 2012 at the Scott County Central High School Gymnasium with Bishop Ron Webb officiating.
Burial will be at the New Morning Star Cemetery, Haywood City, Mo.
