QUEENSBURY --- Aaron P. Brown, 43, of Queensbury passed away on Friday, Sept. 21, 2012. Aaron was a devoted and loving father, son, brother, and a loyal friend. Aaron was born August 16, 1969, at Glens Falls Hospital, the son of Gary B. Brown and Donna T. (Ross) Brown. After spending his childhood in Bolton landing, he graduated from Queensbury High School in June of 1987. Aaron was an avid ATV racer in his youth, winning numerous awards and sponsorships throughout New York and New England. After graduating, Aaron enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, proudly serving six years. His service was first as a fiscal officer, and then he was selected for special duty on security details at embassies around the world. Aaron was a pistol and rifle marksman and the recipient of numerous USMC and Navy achievements and commendations, including the National Defense Service Medal. After honorably completing his service, Aaron spent years as a member of the V.F.W., American Legion, and the Marine Corps League while working for the Drug Enforcement Administration. Aaron graduated from Adirondack Community College (Suma Cum Laude) in January of 1995. He received many honors including; Who’s Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges, Phi Theta Kappa International Scholastic Order and A.C.C. Dean’s List. Aaron went on to graduate from the Nelson A Rockefeller College, University at Albany receiving his Bachelor of Arts (Suma Cum Laude) in 1998. His honors included Phi Beta Kappa National Honors Society, Dean’s List of Distinguished Students and The Presidential Honors Society. Aaron was employed at Warren Tire Service Center, Inc. for 14 years. Most of his time was spent at the Lafayette St. store in Queensbury as Sales Manager and most recently as Regional Sales Manager for the Warren Tire Southern District. Aaron is survived by his beloved daughter, Sophia Joy Brown; her mother, Cristina Brown; his father, Gary B. Brown and his partner, Nancy Farry, of Lake George; his mother, Donna T. (Ross) Brown of Queensbury; two brothers, David Dutra and his wife, Lesa, of Martinsburg, W. Va. and Todd Dutra of Midland, Texas; three sisters, Dale-Ann Brown of Queensbury, Tara Brown of Farmington, and Lisa Dutra Cuippie and her husband, Michael, of Glendora, Calif.; also several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Services with military honors will be conducted at Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, on September 27, at 1 p.m. with Jerry Cashion playing the bagpipes, and Richard Amico, pastoral care at St. Edward the Confessor Church of Clifton Park, officiating.
