Joseph Francis Tucci, age 81, of Edgewater, died Thursday, September 20 at the Hospice of Volusia/Flagler Southeast Volusia Care Center, Edgewater. Born in Malvern, Ohio, Mr. Tucci came to this area in 1998 from Ft. Lauderdale, where he was an electrician with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local #728. Mr. Tucci was an Army Veteran and attended the First Baptist Church of New Smyrna Beach.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn; 2 daughters, Kim Tatum (Scott) of Jacksonville, Kelly Belloise (Chuck) of Holiday; 2 grandsons, Jake and Remley Tatum, both of Jacksonville; 2 granddaughters, Kelsey and Kamryn Belloise, both of Holiday; and a brother-in-law, Doug White (Melanie) of Chickamauga, Georgia.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 28 at the Settle-Wilder New Smyrna Beach Chapel, with the Reverend Luke McKinney, First Baptist Church of New Smyrna Beach, officiating. Entombment of his cremated remains with military honors will follow in the Devotion Columbarium at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens, Edgewater.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, Florida 32129 for the Southeast Volusia Care Center.
