Virginia A. Galdini, 50, of 213 Old Kane Road, Wilcox, died Thursday morning (Sept. 20, 2012) at her residence following a lengthy illness.
Born Oct. 13, 1961, in Kane, she was the daughter of Richard and Shirley Polinski Disque. On Sept. 11, 1982, in Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg, she married Reynold "Reno" Galdini, who survives. Mrs. Galdini was a life-long resident of Wilcox. She graduated from Johnsonburg High School in 1979 then attended the St. Francis Hospital Nurses Aid Training Program. She was employed as a private duty home health care worker with Private Home Health Care. She was also a member of Holy Rosary Church.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two children, Peggy (Vincent Votta) Galdini of Virginia Beach, Va., and Reynold B. Galdini of Portsmouth, Va.; one brother, Richard (Roberta) Disque Jr. of Wilcox; six sisters, Sherry Disque of Ridgway, Sharon Penfield, Shelly (David) Roebuck, Jean (Kerry) Keneske, all of Johnsonburg, Dawn Sandy and Millie (Dan) Yasureck, all of Wilcox. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Rosary Church with the Rev. David J. Wilson, pastor, officiating. Private burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
