Cohoes – Jean M. Hebert Messier, 75, died Monday, September 17, 2012 at her home. She was the beloved and devoted wife of the late William F. Messier, Sr. Born in Cohoes, daughter of the late Dollard “Babe” Hebert and Marie Boyer Hebert, she was a lifelong resident of the city. Jean had been employed as a secretary by the former Bendix Corporation in Green Island for 14 years, retiring in 1975. She had been a communicant of the former St. Joseph’s Church in Cohoes and was a member of the Cohoes Columbietts and the Ladies of St. Anne. She is the Godmother of Frances (Jay) Kellogg, Mary (Wayne) Hamilton and Margaret (Ken) Claflin, all of Cohoes. Jean also leaves behind her beloved dogs, Billie and Jake. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the McNulty Funeral Home, 147 Hudson Avenue in Green Island. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Cohoes. A calling hour will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday prior to the services.
