Berniece Irene Kase

Berniece Irene Kase, 83, of New Haven, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at New Haven Care Center.

Mrs. Kase was born in New Haven, Missouri on September 7, 1929, the daughter of the late Herbert F. and Flora (Dahl) Zastrow.

She was the widow of Stuart Kase. They were married November 26, 1950 at St. Peters U.C.C., New Haven.

Berniece was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ New Haven, Missouri. She worked at St. Francis Hospital in Washington MO, for the Hermann Hospital and she was also a school nurse for Washington School District. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, traveling and being with her family.

Berniece is survived by four daughters, Jane Scheer & husband Walter of New Haven, Missouri, Carol Anderson of Chesterfield, Missouri, Mary Althen & husband Mike of New Haven, Missouri and Doris Brune & husband Richard of New Haven, Missouri, a brother Virgil Zastrow & wife Louise of Peoria, Illinois, a sister Dorothy Stumpe & husband Don of Overland Park, Kansas, two sisters-in-law Ora Mae Zastrow & Carrie Mae Zastrow both of New Haven, Missouri, a brother-in-law Norris Kase of Washington, Missouri, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and five brothers Forrest, Ray, Bobby, Donny and Herb Zastrow.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 20th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. from St. Peter's United Church of Christ, New Haven, with Pastor David Poe officiating.

Burial will be at St. Peter's Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Barnes-Jewish College of Nursing Scholarship Fund.
