Martha Ann Graue

Martha Ann Graue, 75, of Big Spring, Missouri, passed away September 18, 2012 at her home in Big Spring, Missouri.

Mrs. Graue was born in Big Spring, Missouri on May 29, 1937, daughter of the late Robert & Georgie (Benney) Schmidt.

She was the wife of Carl Graue. They were married June 2, 1956 at New Florence. Carl survives in Big Spring.

Martha is also survived by two daughters Carla Engemann and husband Denis and Darla Schutt and husband Darren both of Hermann, by two sons Greg Graue and wife Karen of Hermann, and Doug Graue and wife Carol of Big Spring, Missouri. She is also survived by three sisters Darlene Gerken of New Florence, Doris Graue and husband Norman of Montgomery City, and Norma Jean Stiegman of Big Spring, by three brothers Marion Schmidt of St. Charles, Robert Schmidt and wife Joyce of Big Spring and Kenneth Schmidt and wife Barbara of Big Spring, a sister-in-law Emma Schmidt of Hermann, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, by a sister Mildred Lockhouse, two brothers John & Marvin Schmidt, two sisters-in-law Evelyn Graue & Nelda Schmidt, three brothers-in-law Dave Lockhouse, Orvy Gerken and Monte Stiegman and a granddaughter Michelle Engemann.

Martha was a member of St. John's U.C.C. at High Hill and was a member of the church choir. She was a former member of the Big Spring Fire Dept. Auxiliary. She worked for Binkley for a short time. She then was a cook for the Gasconade County R-1 School District and also helped on their family farm.

Visitation will be Thursday September 20, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. from the Toedtmann-Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, Missouri with funeral services being held Friday at 11:00 a.m. from the funeral home.

Burial will be at St. James Cemetery, Big Spring, Missouri. Memorials may be given to the cemetery or donor's choice.
