Tanya Mayo, age 49, of Edgewater, died suddenly Thursday, September 13. Born in Ocala, Tanya came to this area in 2003 from Apopka. She worked in the City of New Smyrna Beach Building Department. An avid lover of the outdoors, Tanya enjoyed boating, fishing, and at one time, hunting.

Survivors include her husband, Randy; a daughter, Kasey Mayo of Edgewater; a brother, Tommy Kelly of Apopka; and her step-father, Nick Dini of Apopka.

A service to celebrate Tanya's life will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 22, at the Settle-Wilder New Smyrna Beach Chapel, with the Rev. Robert C. Brown, Coronado Community United Methodist Church, officiating. A reception will then follow at the Anglers Yacht Club, 2 North Causeway, New Smyrna Beach.
