She was often referred to as “Ms. Tina”. She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Turner, AR. She later united with Old Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church in Wabash, AR.

She was united in Holy Matrimony to Henry “Cat” Jenkins who preceded her in death. In this union there were four children; two of which preceded her in death, Ida Mae Jenkins-Lewis and John Henry Jenkins.
