Services for Barbara Jean Gooch Allmond, 78, who died Wednesday, September 12th at Pioneer Community Hospital of Aberdeen, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 14th in the Tisdale-Lann Memorial Aberdeen Chapel with Minister Charles Tharp officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Allmond was born in Senath, Missouri to F. L. and Veda Hooper Gooch. She had lived in Aberdeen since 1957 and was co-owner and partner of Allmond Printing Company. She was a member of the Aberdeen Church of Christ. She leaves her husband of 58 years, Thomas E. "Tom" Allmond of Aberdeen; two daughters, Veda Fritch and husband, Tommy, of Pueblo, Colorado and Elizabeth Welch and husband, Keith, of Franklin, Tennessee; three sons, Tim Allmond and wife, Tammy, of Fayette, Alabama, Ernie Allmond and wife, Jackie, of Aberdeen and John Allmond and wife, Emily, of Aberdeen; two sisters, Kay Rundal of Flint, Michigan and June Whitson of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida; 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. Pallbearers are Sam Allmond, Syd Allmond, Edwin Fritch, Mark Hulsey, Steve English, Terry Smith, John Inmon and Bill Borcicky. Visitation will take place from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 13th at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
