Elsie Gordon

On August 2, 1934 in the town of Manchester, Jamaica, (West Indies) a baby girl was born to the parents of Albert and Keziah Channer and they named her Elsie Linda Bell. She was a joy to behold.

In 1964 Elsie met and later married her husband Eric Gordon (who preceded her in death). To this union nine children were added.

The Gordon’s moved to Florida and made Belle Glade their home sometime in 1970. Elsie toil in the fields until she made the choice to stay home and care for the Grands.

She join the Mount Zion AME Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Charles Robinson where she served faithful.

However on Tuesday August 14, 2012 God sent his angels to carry Elsie Gordon home.

She leaves to cherish her memories, Children: Lincoln (Merle), Paul (Latise), Fay, Eyon (Barbara), Elisha (Lolita), Simeon (Annie), Fred (Yolanda), Dorn, Angella (Wilbert);

Grandchildren: Dwayne, Keswayne, Kadian, Paul, Jr., Eyon, Jr., Jaquetta, Sancian, Vincent, Octavia, Simon, Keyonna, Kenya, Khelsea, Bre’Anna, Jada, Amaari, Yohaun, Yonaari, Yoriah, Wilbert, III;

Great-Grandchildren: Timaiya, Lanique, Aysia, Chadwick, Jr., Chauncey, De’Leo, Keswayne, Jr., Raheem and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Sibling: Pearl, Marvis Grittley and Olive all who preceded her in death.

Special Friends: Mrs. Geraldine Hardware and Mrs. Tessie Hall.

Special Care Giver: Jean (RN), Taquesta (CNA) & Errica (Musical Therapist)

Viewing: Fri. 08/24/12 @ Butts Memorial Chapel From 5-7pm. Funeral Service: Sat. 8/25/12@ Mt. Zion AME Church in Belle Glade Fl. Rev. William Cooper Pastor. Interment: Foreverglades Cemetery.
