Mr. Joe W. Gorham, age 81 of Winnfield, Louisiana passed away on Tuesday, September 04, 2012. He was employed at the Carey Salt Co. and the Olin Plywood Mill. He was a Deacon of the United Baptist Church, in Jordan Hill.

Born Friday, March 20, 1931 in Winnfield, Louisiana, he was preceded in death by his Father, Henry H Gorham; Mother, Jeppie Gorham; Sister, Wanda Lavine Meyers; Brother, Hulon Gorham; and Sister, Moise Fredrick.

Those left to cherish his memory include his Wife of 52 years, Mildred Gorham of Winnfield, LA; Sister, Betty Jean Walters and husband Dick of Winnfield, LA; and Sister-in-law, Carolyn Smith and husband Chester of Whitney, TX.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 07, 2012, at Southern Funeral Home, from 8:30 AM until 9:45 AM.

Graveside Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 07, 2012 at Garden of Memories in Winnfield with Rev. Earnest Ray Little officiating, under the direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Floyd Frederick, Wayne Nichols, Bruce Brock, Richard Walters, Glen Allen Davis, BJ Davis, Mike Riddle, Chester Smith (Hon.), Dick Walters (Hon.), Wayne Ingles (Hon.).
