Anna Lou Blakemore, a resident of Wynnewood, OK, was born in Lebanon, OK on March 4, 1934 to Burley (Rutherford) and Charlie Wesley Hackler. She passed away September 2, 2012 in Wynnewood, OK at the age of 78 years 5 months and 29 days. Mrs. Blakemore grew up in the Madill area and graduated high school in Madill in 1952. She then married Francis Sherwood Blakemore on September 26, 1951 in Weaverton, OK. She worked several years for Strongberg Carlson Company, partnered with her husband in the variety store business and part store business, as well as working as a professional seamstress. She moved from Madill to Wetumka in 1954, then moved to Tishomingo in 1959, from Tishomingo to Wynnewood on the last day of 1976 and spent the rest of her life in Wynnewood. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Wynnewood, OK and worked as the church secretary for over 30 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother – J.C. Hackler , Brother – Levestie Hackler, Sister – Geneva Eppler, and a daughter in law – Marsha Blakemore.
Survived by – her husband Francis of the home. Daughter and Son in law – Teresa and Steven Trett of Wynnewood, OK; Son and Companion – Roger Blakemore and Clarissa West of Enos, OK; Son and Daughter in law – Randall and Sharon Blakemore of Tishomingo, OK; 7 Grandchildren; 13 Great Grandchildren.
Services will be held at the Assembly of God Church in Wynnewood, OK on Thursday September 6, 2012 at 2:00 PM officiated by Rev. Paul Ratliff. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in Wynnewood. Family visitation will be Wednesday night September 5, 2012 from 6 to 8 PM at DeArman Funeral Home. Services under the direction of DeArman Funeral Home of Wynnewood, OK.
