Lucy T. Caul

Lucy T. Caul was born on May 10, 1921 to the late Brooksie and Burke Taylor in Williamson, West Virginia. She was the proud mother of Oliver (Fuzz), Dexter (deceased) and Mrs. Shirley Dexter Smith. After the death of her husband, James Caul, Lucy travelled and lived throughout the United States. During the last few years as her health began to decline, she moved to Spotsylvania, Virginia, to reside with her daughter and son-in-law. It is there that she remained under the care of her family until the Lord called her home on Wednesday, August 29, 2012. Lucy lived a long and blessed life. She was 91 years old. Lucy was pre-deceased by her parents, Brooksie and Burke Taylor, her husband James Caul, her son Oliver (Fuzz) Dexter, three brothers and two sisters.

She leaves to cherish fond memories her daughter, Shirley (John) Smith; grandchildren, Karen Dyck, Janet (Marcus) Hodges, Janis Smith, Jill Smith and Faisal (Metoka) Smith; great-grandchildren, Rahel Smith, Arielle Dyck, Tianna Dyck, Justin Brown, Rachel Brown, Noelle Hodges and Jonathan McDuffy; great-great grandchildren, Nashon Miller, Indya Jones and Ayden Jones; special cousin Martha Sloan; caregiver and friend Nancy Jackson; and a host of beloved nieces as well as nephews.

A funeral service will be held at Rogers Funeral Home in West Virginia, with interment at Memorial Gardens in Williamson, West Virginia.
