Byron B. Bork, age 78 years, of Gruenstern Rd., Marion, passed away Monday morning, August 27, 2012 at Greentree Health & Rehabilitation Center, Clintonville.
Byron Burton Bork was born on August 28, 1933 in the Town of Dupont, Waupaca County, to William and Edna (Gruenstern) Bork. He grew up in the Town of Dupont and helped on the family dairy farm for many years. When the family sold the farm, Byron moved to the Town of Union where he lived for 13 years, and returned to Dupont in 1981 settling with his brother. Byron is a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Town of Dupont. He enjoyed fishing, working in the vegetable garden, and helping out neighbors & friends. Byron especially liked listening to polka music and spending time with relatives.
Survivors include a sister, Myrna (Glenn) Moder of Manitowoc, a brother, Arlyn Bork of Marion, a brother, William (Judy) Bork of Marion, and a sister, Donna (David) Krueger-Behnke of Manawa. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Byron is preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Eileen (Donald) Lemke, a brother, Duaine, two sisters-in-law, Karen Bork & Genevieve Bork, and a brother-in-law, Robert Krueger.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 30th at 11:00 AM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Town of Dupont. Rev. Janice Kuder will officiate and burial will follow at Roseland Cemetery, Marion. Friends may call on Thursday from 9:00 AM until time of service at the church. The Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Marion, is assisting the family.
