Huggard, Edward Orley “Skip” of Bay City, Michigan passed away peacefully Tuesday afternoon August 21, 2012 at Bay Medical Care Facility with his family by his side. Age 77 years. He was born August 29, 1934 in Bay City and has resided here all of his life. Skip retired from Bay City Chevrolet on January 1, 1990, was a member of the U.A.W. Local 362, was an avid University of Michigan fan, enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with his family and especially being with his best friend Joey. On May 7, 1955 he married his wife of 57 years the former Darlene M. Buck and she survives his passing along with three sons and one daughter; Steven (Sue) Huggard, Wendy (Bob) Mix, Michael (companion Darlene) Huggard and Ricky (companion Angie) Huggard. He also leaves eighteen grandchildren; Jeff VanOchten, Scott Huggard, Christel VanOchten, Tammy Awad, Michael Awad, Zachary Phillips, Nicholas Phillips, Kevin, Kristin and Kacie Mix, Matthew Huggard, Mitchell Grzgorczyk, Marcie Huggard, Macal Huggard, Paul Bukowski, Amanda Kaweck, Casey Huggard and Corey Huggard , eighteen great grandchildren, three brothers and three sisters-in-law; Dale (Kay) Huggard, Daniel (Linda) Huggard and David (Leona) Huggard, four sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law; Bonnie, Claudette and Sally Huggard and Duane (June) Buck, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parent; Cecil Orley and Margaret Jean Huggard, one grandson; Nathanial Phillips and five brothers and one sister-in-law; Cecil (Shirley), Richard, Gorden, Douglas and Darrell”Biz” Huggard. Funeral and Committal Services will take place Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Dwight W. Kingsbury. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. and until the time of services. For those planning an expression of sympathy the family ask that you consider a memorial to the Wishes of the Family.
