Ruth E. Heidel

Ruth E. Heidel, 67, of Hermann, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2012 at Mercy Hospital, Creve Coeur, Missouri.

Mrs. Heidel was born in St. Louis, Missouri on February 20, 1945, the daughter of the late Hayden and Edna (Quinn) Geiger.

She was the wife of James Heidel. They were married September 26, 1970 at First Baptist Church, Hermann. He survives in Hermann.

Ruth is also survived by a sister Faye Boyer & husband Joe of Jefferson City, Missouri, three nieces Rochelle Gilbert & husband Bob of Jefferson City, Missouri, Holly Hide & husband Mike of Jefferson City and Cathy Huff & husband Jim of Papillion, Nebraska, two nephews Sgt. Josh Geiger of Jefferson City and Ray Koelling & wife Linda of Russellville, Missouri, a brother-in-law Charles Heidel of St. Louis and a sister-in-law Ruth Duncan of Palm Harbor, Florida. She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother Dennis Geiger and a sister Linda Drane.

She was a member of First Baptist Church, Hermann, Missouri, where she was a charter member since 1954 and played the organ & piano for 49 years.

She worked as a beautician for 10 years for Freiseur Salon. She then worked for Van Booven Services for 10 years and then she worked eight years in housekeeping.

Visitation will be Wednesday 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, Missouri, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Jason Gentry officiating.

Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Rosebud, Missouri.

Memorials may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. C/O Toedtmann-Grosse Funeral Home.
