Bruce Aaron Pendleton, 67, of Stuart, VA died Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke, VA. He was born on November 3, 1944 in Patrick County, VA to the late Roscoe Pendleton and Mabel Hopkins Pendleton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Kaye Rorrer.
Mr. Pendleton was a member of Buffalo Ridge Pentecostal Holiness Church, Stuart, VA and was an investigator for the Patrick County Sheriff’s Dept. Also, he served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Surviving are his son, Dustin Cole Pendleton of Radford, VA; sister, Faye Plaster of Patrick Springs, VA; brothers, Buddy Pendleton of Woolwine, VA, Bob Pendleton of
Patrick Springs, VA and Lane Pendleton of Stuart, VA; former wife, Trish Pendleton of Patrick Springs, VA and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Buffalo Ridge Pentecostal Holiness Church with Reverend Kenneth Terry and Raleigh Bailey officiating. Burial will be private. The Patrick County Sheriff’s Dept. will perform Honor Rites. The family will receive friends, in the fellowship hall, after the service.
