Steve McNeil, a resident of Sulphur was born December 17, 1945 in Atoka, Oklahoma to Charles E and Mary Jane (Moffatt) McNeil. He passed away Tuesday August 14, 2012 at Sulphur, Oklahoma at the age of 66 years 7 months and 27 days. Steve grew up in Sulphur, graduating S.H.S. in 1964. He then attended East Central University for 3 years before joining the National Guard where he served his country for 6 years. After this, he worked for Glen Oaks Manufacturing for 28 years as head mechanic and was manager in the Ringling and Ardmore plants until they were closed down. He also drove a truck for USA Trucking Company and worked for his brother at Rick's Furniture in Sulphur until his retirement 2 years ago. Steve was a great outsdoorman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding his four wheeler in Colorado. He was also a great cook and enjoyed cooking outside for his family & friends. Steve accepted Jesus as his Savior when he was 11 years old, and was baptized in a creek in February. He was a member of Crossway Baptist Church in Sulphur. We know he is at peace, safe in the arms of Jesus. He was preceded in death by his father and his first wife: Cathy Ellen Carr McNeil.

Survived by his daughter: Morgan McNeil of Ardmore, Ok. Mother: Mary Jane McNeil of Sulphur, Ok. 2 brothers & sisters-in-law: Larry & Jan McNeil of Ardmore, Ok. and Rick & Janene McNeil of Sulphur, Ok. The mother of his daughter: Joy Farve, Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, Friends.

Services: 10:00AM Thursday August 16, 2012 in the Chapel of Crossway Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Leveridge officiating. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.
