Ida Jeanine Bloodworth Buchanan age 68 passed away Monday, August 13, 2012. Graveside services will be held at 11AM Friday, August 17, at Culverton Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Alan McCoy officiating.

Mrs. Buchanan was a native of Savannah and lived in Jonesboro for many years but had made her home in Sparta since 1993. She was a former church secretary and a member of Sparta Baptist Church. She was the owner of Aunt Bea’s Catering and loved making jewelry, flower arrangements and quilting. She also was an outstanding cook.

Survivors include her husband Larry Buchanan of Sparta, three sons, Dennis Michael Buchanan of Asheville, NC, James Daniel Buchanan of Canton, and John Gregory Buchanan of Sparta, her sister Sarah Buice (Robert) of Fitzgerald, 13 grandchildren, one great grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6PM until 8PM at Moores Funeral Home.
