Mark Gundersen

Mark Gundersen, 54, of Telford, PA passed away on Monday, August 6, 2012 surrounded by loving family.

He was born in Philadelphia, PA to Dorothy M. (Calhoun) Bonner and to the late David H. Gundersen.

Mark graduated from Hatboro-Horsham High School, class of 1975, and went on to attend Montgomery County Technical School, where he studied graphic arts. He lived in Florida, Virginia, Connecticut, and Texas before returning to the Bucks County area, where he resided for the last 28 years. Mark worked in the printing industry and was the lead pressman for The Intelligencer newspaper for 20 years. He enjoyed concerts, bowling, camping, and boating, and was an avid Phillies, Ramones & Beatles fan. Most of all, Mark enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed as a loving father, brother, son, and uncle.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his two daughters, Heather Herbert & husband, Dave of Lansdale, PA and Geena Gundersen & fiancé, Keenan Kade of Quakertown, PA; his son, Mark T. Gundersen of Souderton, PA; his two brothers, David J. Gundersen & partner, Roger Mabie of Rockledge, FL and Kurt Gundersen & wife, Beverly of Youngsville, NC; his three sisters, Denise Williams & husband, Don of Melbourne, FL, Donna Kowalick & husband, Bob of Morrisville, PA, and Linda Gundersen of Perkasie, PA; his grandson, Evry Herbert of Lansdale, PA; his 5 nieces and nephews, Don Williams, Jennifer Berman, Vanessa Messina, Bobby Kowalick, and Rutger G. Newman; and his great-niece Amelia Berman and great-nephew Mike Fisher. Mark's first granddaughter is expected in late September.

A service of remembrance will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 3:00 pm at Pebble Hill Interfaith Church, 320 Edison-Furlong Road, Doylestown, PA 18901, immediately followed by a celebration of Mark’s life.
