Allison Hutcheson

U.S. Veteran

Allison Hutcheson, age 75, of Dothan died Sunday, August 5, 2012 in a Dothan, Alabama hospital. Born January 5, 1937 to Andrew J and Georgie Garrison Hutcheson. Allison joined U.S. Army and served his country for 28 years including 2 tours of duty in Vietnam. He received for meritorious achievements in connection with military operations a Combat Medic Badge, 5 Bronze Stars and a Silver Star in his 2 tours of duty in Vietnam. Allison worked 20 years with Civil Service as Senior Post Supervisor. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 685 of Florala for 52 years earning a 32 degree. Allison loved Alabama football and its rich traditions and enjoyed sharing that love with his family. His friends called him Hutch and he loved the times they would gather at the Waffle Houses in Dothan. Allison was a member of the First Baptist Church of Enterprise. His biggest legacy, however is the love he had for his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, he will forever hold a dear and precious place in each of their hearts. Allison was preceded in death by father, Andrew J Hutcheson; mother, Georgie Hutcheson; four brothers, Arnold, Avenaugh, Ashley (Pud), Billy Glenn (Punk) Hutcheson; sister, Obyree Hayes. He is survived by his wife of 14 years Deborah Salter Hutcheson, two sons Steven Craig Hutcheson (Susan), Gregory Hutcheson (Carron), both of Dothan, AL daughter Madonna Bradley (Matt) of Lockhart, AL, 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 1 unborn great granddaughter, Layla Jade Nixon, and Annie Laura Hutcheson, mother of his three children of Dothan, Al. Also his two beloved pets poodles, Tiny and Buffy. Funeral services for Allison Hutcheson will be 2PM Wednesday August 8, 2012 at Evans Funeral Home in Florala, AL with Terry Hutcheson and Amy Parrish officiating. Interment will follow at Asbury Methodist Cemetery. A time of visitation will be from 6 to 8PM Tuesday at Evans Funeral Home
