Ronald Mark Johnson

Ronald Mark Johnson, 56, of Jefferson City died Friday, July 27, 2012, at St. Mary’s Health Center. He was born September 22, 1955, in Mountain Grove, Missouri. He was a graduate of Jefferson City High School.

Ron served in the United States Marine Corps from 1972 to 1974. He owned and operated Ron Johnson’s Painting and Home Repair and was a member of First Christian Church. Ron was very dedicated to his work, but in his spare time enjoyed woodworking, gardening and camping, but most of all loved spending time with his granddaughter, Jade.

On January 11, 1991, Ron was united in marriage in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Melissa Marks, who survives at their home.

Other survivors include two daughters, Sarah Johnson and April Johnson of Jefferson City; one stepson, Joshua Foshee of Shreveport, Louisiana; four siblings: Lewis Johnson, Jr. of California state, Paul Johnson of Jefferson City, David Johnson of Jefferson City, Katie Roling and husband Jim of Jefferson City; three granddaughters: Jade Pace-Johnson, Nadia Foshee, Layla Foshee; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis W. Johnson and Faye (Garland) Johnson Becker.

Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 30, 2012, at First Christian Church, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Donald E. Carter officiating. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Arrangements are under the direction of HOUSER-MILLARD Funeral Directors, 2613 W. Main, (573) 636-3838.
