Eula L. Thomas, 98 of Taylor, Missouri went to be with her Lord Friday July 27th 2012. She was born on June 10, 1914 in Cooperstown, IL. She was the daughter of the late Loyid and Lorena Logston Stone. She was married to Earl W. Thomas on April 9, 1931 in Keokuk, IA he preceded her in death February 27, 1982.
She is survived by her three children Phyllis Harlan (Gene) of Palmyra; Gerald Thomas (Betty) of Taylor, and Shirley Davis (William) of Taylor. Grandchildren Cindy McDowell of Palmyra; Marvin “Butch” Harlan (Darlene) of Taylor; Judy Webster of Hannibal; Rebecca (Keith) Hannant of Taylor; Kim Rice of Palmyra. Debra Allison (Tom) of Emerson; and Tammy (David) Drebenstedt of Taylor. Great Grandchildren Dan McDowell; Beth McDowell; Daytona Rice; Jessica Lehenbauer (Andrew); Melinda Bowers (Jake); Billy Hannant; Tim Webster; Amy Webster; Amanda Russell; Angela Harlan; Derrick (Julie) Harlan; Dustin Drebenstedt; and Nicole (Brian) Schaefer. Great great grandchildren Heidi Lehenbauer; Callie Mathes; Miranda Gray; Levi Miller; Kinsley Schaefer; Kayleigh Schaefer.
She was preceded in death by one son Earl Lowell Thomas, three brothers Raymond, Lawrence, and Leland Stone, and one sister Wilma Munns, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Eula worked at Motorola for many years. She spent most of her married years farming in West Quincy Bottoms alongside her husband, Earl and being Granny to her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at the Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2012. Pastor Mike Rickman and Rev. Steve Martin will officiate. Burial will be at Maywood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church or Maywood Cemetery Association.
Pallbearers will be the grandsons and the Honorary bearers will be the granddaughters and grandson.
