Mr. Nevzat Ali

Beloved Husband, Father & Grandfather

Nevzat Ali, 78 of Wolcott, passed away at his home on Sunday, July 22, 2012, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Lulea (Demirs) Ali.

Nevzat was born in Vishocica, Albania on November 7, 1933 son of the late Shaban and Raefie (Spaho) Ali. He came to the United States when he was two years old, settling in North Grosvenordale, Connecticut where he lived for 24 years. He was a graduate of Tourtellotte Memorial High School, where he was Class President. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean Conflict. He moved to Wolcott in 1963, and worked as a Divisional Superintendent at Pratt & Whitney for 42 years. He was a Member of the Masonic Corner Stone Lodge 122. His favorite pastime was reading, but he also enjoyed golfing, and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan.

Besides his wife Lulea of 54 years, he leaves three sons; Steve Ali and his fiancée Kathy Fecteau of Southington, Mark Ali of Waterbury, and Greg Ali and his wife Regina of Southington, a brother, Skender Ali, and his wife Doris of Webster, Mass., and five grandchildren; Kristen Ali, Jennifer Ali, Nicole Ali, Caitlyn Fecteau, and Matthew Fecteau, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Nedjat Ali, and his sister-in-law Joan Ali

Funeral will be held Thursday, 9:00 a.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway. A Funeral Service will begin at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at New Pine Grove Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
