Memorial services for Wilma Webb Chambliss, 98, of Clovis will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at The Chapel 1500 Thornton with Bobby Jack Stewart officiating. Private family burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Amarillo, TX on Thursday, July 19, 2012.
Wilma "Webb" Chambliss died Saturday July 14, 2012 at St. Anthony Healthcare & Rehabilitation in Clovis. She was born December 26, 1913 in Anson, Texas to Thomas Lee and Nora Givins Webb. She married Glenn Chambliss Nov. 12, 1932 in Lovington, NM. Wilma was a housewife, member of Central Baptist Church, and a Pink Lady with the PRMC Aux. She loved to read, do needlework and crossword puzzles.
Wilma is survived by one daughter, Myrna (Dave) Barth of Clovis, NM, one Son, Jay (Diana) Chambliss of Flowermound, TX, six grandchildren: Brenda Barth, Clovis, NM, Debra Robinson and Vicki Knerr, both of Las Vegas, Nev., Buddy Chambliss, Lubbock, TX, Bill Chambliss and Christie Talamantez both of Lewisville, TX, 12 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Wilma was preceded by her parents, husband, Glenn, one son, Jim Chambliss, one granddaughter Donna Barth, two brothers and two sisters.
The family requests memorial contributions to the Plains Regional Medical Center Auxillary.
