Grace Elizabeth Danielson, 96, of Russellville, died Friday, July 13, 2012, at Stella Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born December 19, 1915, at Chicago, Illinois, to William Harold and Annie Mae Freeman Barnard. She earned a degree in nursing in Little Rock. Later she married Nels Danielson of Prescott, where they operated a dairy.
Grace married Lee C. Shaw of Prescott and they moved to Los Angeles, California, where she worked in restaurants and hotels for several years before returning to Russellville. She then worked for the Area Agency on Aging, taking care of elderly friends and raising cattle near Dover. She was a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, William Barnard and Richard Barnard; and three sisters, Evelyn Kaczka, Peggy Buchanan and Frances Nading.
Survivors include her son, Nels Edward Danielson and his wife, Gina, of West Fork; a step-son, L. C. Shaw and his wife, Yvonne, of Shreveport, Louisiana; a sister, Ruth Howard of Prescott; a grandson, Nels E. Danielson Jr., of Conway; two granddaughters, Dana Ellison and her husband, John, of Matthew, North Carolina, and Delores Danielson of Morrilton; several nephews and nieces; and special friends Harold Dickerson of Hope and Juanita Sutterfield of Russellville.
The graveside service will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 16, 2012, at De Ann Cemetery at Prescott, officiated by Bro. John McKinney. Local arrangements are by Brazzel/Cornish The Funeral Home of Prescott.
