Age 89, of Lockport, Monday, July 2, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Chicago and was a lifelong Chicago resident before moving to Lockport. A former member of St. Symphorosa Church, Chicago and recently a member of St. Dennis Church, Lockport. Evelyn loved crocheting, but most of all she cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband Thomas E. Cahill, a son Thomas J. Cahill, a sister Marie Krenn and a grandson Thomas Cahill. Survived by two children Kathleen Guzik and Mary (James) Kane, four grandchildren Robin (Dave) Lundeen, Frank (Cathy) Guzik, Tiffany (Stephen) Listermann and Shannon (Christopher) Dooley and nine great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held Friday, 9:30 am from the O’NEIL FUNERAL HOME, 1105 E. 9TH ST. (159TH ST.), LOCKPORT, to St. Dennis Church, Lockport for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Interment St. Mary Cemetery, Evergreen Park. Visitation Thursday at the funeral home from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
