Kenneth Earl Gurney

Kenneth Earl Gurney 1941-2012

Kenneth Earl passed away quitely and peacefully with his beloved wife and family surrounding him at his home in Lehi. He was born on March 14, 1941 in Lehi, Utah to Earl Wayne and Virgie Hall Gurney. He was married to the love of his life Linda Maynard on May 16, 1960 in Lehi, Utah and was later sealed for Time and All Eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple in Feb 18, 1966.

He attended Lehi High School and served the United States Navy. He was a Master Craftsman. He was a supervisor for Anderson Lumber Truss Division, and also employed for Geneva Steel.

Ken loved working with wood. He enjoyed gardening, loved being outdoors. Camping with family. He loved all his grandkids and spending time with them. He loved watching Old Western movies. He was very much a hardworking family man. We love you very much, and you will be missed.

Ken and Linda have 6 children. Kenneth Jared(Deceased), Lynnette(Brian Bennion), Sherri Forbes, Shawn Earl(Janice), Wendy(Josh Bushman), Jeremy Brent(Charlene). Other survivors 16 Grand-children, 4 great-grandchildren, 5 brothers and 1 sister. Preceded in death by his father and mother, grandson Corwin Kenneth Gurney and son Kenneth Jared Gurney.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Lehi 21st Ward 1870 N 1400 West. Family and friends may visit Saturday morning from 9-10:30 a.m at the same address prior to the services. Interment Lehi City Cemetery.
