Armond Haskell Williamson, a resident of Sulphur was born January 10, 1930 in Stratford, Oklahoma to Edmond and Fronie (Davis) Williamson. He passed away Wednesday June 27, 2012 at Sulphur, Oklahoma at the age of 82 years 5 months and 17 days. Armond had lived in this area most of his life; graduating from Sulphur High School where he played basketball. He entered the military after high school and served in the army during the Korean War. Armond and Hattie Gaines were married on May 12, 1952 in Gainesville, Texas. He had worked at Braden Motors for several years and enjoyed traveling to sing gospel music. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sons: Julius Williamson & Edmond Williamson, 4 sisters: Elsie Lewis, Juanita Amos, Rena Belle Wakolee, and Zona Gaines.
Survived by his wife: Hattie Williamson of Sulphur, 4 daughters: Valerie Underwood of Mill Creek, Liquetta Williamson of Sulphur, Fronie Ibarra of Sulphur, Coleta Williamson of Ada. 5 sons: Haskell Williamson of Tulsa, Clayburn Williamson of Ada, Wendell Williamson of Sulphur, Calley Williamson of Sulphur, Richard Gratner of Ardmore. 21 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchldren.
Services: 2:00PM Monday July 2 at the Crossway Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Wilson and Rev. Randy Wade officiating. Interment will follow in Salem Cemetery.
