Jim Stark, a resident of Wynnewood was born March 31, 1947 in Red Oak, Oklahoma to Bertie O. (Tomlinson) and William P. Stark. He passed away June 22, 2012 at the age of 65 years 2 months and 21 days. He was married to Linda Carrell (Hollie) Stark at the Red Oak Church of Christ on September 2, 1967, she preceded him in death on April 5, 2011. He had achieved his Master's in Education from the University of Oklahoma. His career included serving as a Math and Science Teacher in Ninnekah, Rush Springs, and Sterling, before moving to Wynnewood where his positions included Assistant High School Principal, Grade School Principal, and Superintendant of Wynnewood Schools. He had lived in Red Oak, Durant, Chickasha, Rush Springs, and Ninnekah, before moving to Wynnewood in 1973 where he spent the remainder of his life. His civic memberships include Kiwanis, Wynnewood Chamber of Commerce, Wynnewood Booster Club, Oklahoma State Schools Administrators Association, National Association of Secondary School Principals, Oklahoma State Schools Activities Association, and Board of Directors at the First National Bank.

Survived by his Daughter and Son in law - Andrea (Stark) and Mike Bishop of Bartlett, TN; Son and Daughter in law - Jimmie Allen and Kristy Stark of San Marcos, TX; 2 Grandchildren - Zachary Bishop age 11 and Alec Bishop age 7; 2 Brothers - Bill Stark and wife Lida of Clinton, MS; John Stark of Red Oak, OK; 2 Sisters - Wanda Caldwell and husband Glen of Wynnewood, OK; Barbara Clark and husband Jerry of Valliant, OK

Pallbearers will be Travis Crawford, Jon Horton, Paul Wade Forbus, Danny Jones, Monty Miller, Blake Stiles, Darren Anderson, and Guy Robberson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bob Anderson, Roger Camp, Dennis Cain, Tommy McKay, Jerry Grove, Jim Robberson, and Hoyle Sharber.

Services will be held Tuesday June 26, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Church of Christ officiated by Todd McRay. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of DeArman Funeral Home of Wynnewood, OK.
