Ruby King

Ruby King, 74, of Jonesboro, went to be with the Lord on June 20, 2012 surrounded by family and friends at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House.

She was preceded in death by her parents James Crawford and Agnes Daniel and brothers Edwin Daniel (Lora) and Ray Daniels.

She is survived by husband Earl King of Jonesboro, sons Paul King (Cathy) of Jonesboro and Mark King (Rhonda) of Magnolia, and daughter Jennifer Fowler of Jonesboro. She is also survived by grandchildren, Brad King (Kasandra), Josh King (Brittany), Cameron King, Abigail King, Katie Hamilton (Jon) and Molly Fowler. Her great-grandchildren are Emma Claire King and Collins Alexis King. She is also survived by brothers J.W. Daniel (Barbra) of Rockford, Illinois and James Daniel (Cleta) of Jonesboro. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Ruby was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose greatest joy was her children and grandchildren. She loved to crochet, embroider, and knit. She was a member of the Extension Homemakers Club, the Potlickers Fellowship Bible Study Group, and a member of Temple Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be sons Paul and Mark King and grandsons Brad, Josh, and Cameron King, and Jon Mark Hamilton. Honorary pallbearers include her granddaughters and great-granddaughters, nieces and nephews, and the members of the Potlickers Fellowship Bible Study Group.

Visitation will be at Emerson Funeral Home on June 22, 2012 from 5-7 p.m. Funeral services will be at Emerson Memorial Chapel on June 23, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Jerry Jolly and Rev. Andy Neal officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House, 1138 E. Matthews, Jonesboro, Arkansas, 72401 or a charity of your choice.
