Vietta Y. "Mimi" Brown passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2012. Vietta was born in Cornwall, England on Jan. 31, 1922 and as an infant came with her parents to settle in the Upper Peninsula Michigan until the early 1940's. Her family then settled in Delaware County. Vietta's life was her devototion to children, having cared for her own and then her Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. She was a Girl Scout Leader for many years. She also worked at Bessie Parker's in Broomall for several years before caring for the Harmon and Pantellas Families. She will be sadly missed by all those she touched. She was Predeceased by by her husband Arthur Brown of Broomall, her parents Reginald and Hettie Kellow of Twin Oakes, sisters Pauline Turnbull of Twin Oaks, Mary Llewellyn of Linwood and her Brother Kenneth Kellow of Darby. Also preceded in death by her son Gerald Wayne "Jerry" Brown of Broomall and Grandson James Snyder of Eldersburg, MD. Survivors: Son Arthur Brown of Lebanon, PA; Daughters Shelley Snyder of Eden, MD, and Sarah Demas of Limerick; 8 Grandchildren, 17 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandson and many neices and nephews. A gathering to celebrate her life will be held Thursday, June 21, 2012 at 10:30 am in the J. Nelson Rigby Funeral Home, 1 W. Balt. Ave., Media, Pa. Friends may call from 9:00 - 10:30 am.
