U.S. Veteran COOMER, John Elwood, 68, of Maineville, died Sunday June 10, 2012. Born July 19, 1943 in Oakdale, KY to Charles and Devonia E. (nee: Dunn) Coomer, he was a proud US Navy veteran, serving in the Vietnam War. He was the longtime co-owner and operator of Coomer Furniture. Preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Jesse Tyler Coomer, and his sister, Charlene Coomer, survivors include his wife of 47 years, Janet Ann (nee: Stevens) Coomer, two daughters, Christine Ann (Thomas) Snyder of Loveland and Kathleen Ann (Robert Eric) Rhoads of Hillsboro, one brother, Jerry Wayne (Lynette) Coomer of Middletown, one sister, Miranda Sue (Ted) Jackson of Lebanon, two grandchildren, Joshua Eric Rhoads and Brittany Nicole Rhoads and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 17, 2012 from 2-5 PM with funeral service on Monday, June 18, 2012 at 10 AM, all at the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home, Lebanon.
