Rosie L Davis

Funeral service for the late Rosie L. Davis will be held at 11:00 on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at the PLM&D Center her nephew Jimmy F. McClain officating.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 15, 2012 at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel from 12:00 to 6:00.

Interment will be at Oak Grove cemetery

Mother Rosie Davis was born in FriarsPoint Mississippi to Eddie and Mattie Hines. She passed from this life on Sunday June 10, 2012 at her home in West Helen, Arkansas surrounding by her loving family.

Rosie confessed a hope in Christ at an early age at the Zion Chapel Baptist Church in Snow Lake, Arkansas. After moving to Lake View she she united with the Lake View Baptist Church. After moving to West Helena her health failed. She always told us she was praying for her childrens.

Rosie united in Holy matrimony to Mr. Watson Davis in the early 1940’s. To this union 11 children were born. Her husband, 3 sons Freddie, Larry, and Rogers, 1 sister Alberta, and a brother James Smith preceded her in death.

Rosie leaves to cherish her memories: (7) daughters and (1) son. Earnstine (Odell) Otis, of West Helena, Arkansas; Ada Fields of Omaha Nebraska; Doris (Freddie)Davis, Vera Collins,Rose Ella (Marcus) Graham all of Chicago, Illinois; Mattie Kendrick and Shirley Gilbert of Little Rock, Arkansas. (21) Grandchildren, (28) Great Grandchildren, (12) Great Great Grandchildren, also her extended family the children and grandchildren of her decased sister-in-law Rose Ella Davis Parker. A host of neices, nephew, cousins, and other relatives and friends who loved her dearly. A special grandson Eric Dixon Sr.
