Shirley Hawkins 78, of Mayfield died Friday June 8, 2012 at Jackson Purchase Medical Center.

She was a member of the United Kingdom of Jehovah’s Witness. Mrs. Hawkins was also former owner of The Holliday House Resurant and retired kitchen manager from Continental General Tire and Rubber CO..

Mrs. Hawkins is survived by her daughter, Elaine Conner of Benton KY; brother, Bobby Ivie of Benton KY; three sisters, Helen Thompson of Mayfield, Patsy Bogel of Milburn, and Kay Crooks of Mayfield; 2 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Ray Blalock; grandson, Corey Blalock; three brothers; parents, Boyd and Thettis Holmes Ivie.

Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00PM Monday June 11, 2012 at Pottsville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11-1:30PM Monday June 11, 2012 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield .
