Jackie Darrell Vance 58 of Morristown passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at his home. He was born in Page, VA a graduate of Grundy High School in Grundy, VA; he played football and graduated from Carson Newman College; and was a retired teacher and coach from Morristown West High School; preceded in death by his wife Sharon Boling Vance; mother and father, Virginia Vance Woodard and Edgar Vance; step-father, Don Woodard; and sister, Sandy Belcher. Survivors include his three children, Kimberly Vance (Clay) Gibbs and grandson Jackson, Tyler (Amanda) Vance, and Drew Vance; brothers, Tivis Vance, Pete Vance, Robert Vance, and James Vance; sisters, Sharon Matney and Shirley Keene. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Mayes Family Services, West Chapel with receiving of friends 11:00-1:00 prior to the service at the funeral home; interment will follow at Forest Hills Memory Gardens in Abington, VA.
