MRS. RUTH SIMS COLLINS

ELON- Mrs. Ruth Sims Collins, 88, of 664 Manning Ave, passed away on Friday, June 1, 2012 at Hospice Home of Alamance.

A native of Whitmire, SC, she was the daughter of Taylor Sims and Ida Mae Foster Sims, both deceased and the wife of Moses Alexander Collins, deceased.

Survivors include three step-daughters, Joycelyn Sellars of Burlington, Esther Graves of Gibsonville and Veocia Warren of Graham; one sister, Evelyn Sims of Charlotte NC; seven step-grandchildren; twenty three step-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at 3:00 pm at St. John AME Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the church and all other times, at the home of her step-daughter, Veocia Warren, 111 E. Parker Street, Graham. Public viewing will be held Tuesday, June 5, 2012 from 1-8:00 pm at the funeral home.
