William A. Ayotte, 58, died Saturday, May 26, 2012 at his home in Cheboygan.

Bill was born in Flint, MI on Nov. 29, 2012. He was the son of Robert and Helen (Krawczewski) Ayotte. He grew up in Cheboygan and attended Cheboygan Schools.

On Oct. 13, 1978 he married the former Debra Clarmont in Cheboygan where the couple made their home. Bill had been employed in the construction trades in Cheboygan County. The last position he held was head of maintenance at the Merevier Inn/Harbor View on Mackinaw Island.

Bill’s hobbies include riding his Harley Davidson, hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Cheboygan.

Bill is survived by his wife, Debra; children, Shaun (Dodie) Clarmont of Green Bay, WS, Kristopher Ayotte of Cheboygan; grandchildren, Aubrey Ayotte and Shaun Clarmont, Jr.; adopted grandchildren, Deven and Justyce Ayotte; siblings, Robert (Cheryl) Ayotte of Cheboygan, Theresa Berg of Cheboygan, Sandra (Boyd) Andrews of Saugertees, NY; several nieces and nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents.

Nordman-Christian Funeral Home served the Ayotte family.
