Aloysius

Aloysius “Al” J. Boucher Aloysius “Al” J. Boucher passed away peacefully at home with his family at his side on May 20, 2012, after a courageous 18-month battle with leukemia.

He was born in Thiry Daems on May 13, 1939 to the late Joseph Jr. and Hazel (Vandevelde) Boucher. He was an altar boy at St. Odile Church in Thiry Daems and at the Chapel in Robinsonville until he got married. Al married Joyce Srnka on May 21, 1960 at St. Peter Church in Lincoln. He grew up on his parents’ farm and then lived in Green Bay from 1960 until 1972, when he moved to his hobby farm with his wife and daughters. Al especially enjoyed working the land. He was proud to display the sign on his barn that read “Al Boucher & Daughters”.

He worked in Green Bay at Fairmont/Kemps and then at Algoma Hardwoods until his retirement in 2002. He loved to make people smile and laugh while sharing his wonderful sense of humor. Al also enjoyed bowling, playing cards, especially Cuyoo, going out for Friday fish fries, being a dedicated fan of L-C Spartans girls basketball, the Packers, and the Brewers.

He openly shared his faith in God with others. Most of all, he treasured spending time with his family. He was an awesome Husband, Dad, Grandpa and Great-Grandpa.
