Emma Genevieve Gilley, age 82, a resident of Paxton, Florida, passed away in a Crestview hospital Wednesday, May 9, 2012. A resident of 331 Adams Street she was born in Walton County, Florida the daughter of the late Bradie George and Aleta Parker George.
She was employed with Franklin Ferguson Company in Florala. She cherished the times she had with her children and most especially her grandchildren. She relished being “Granny”. She was a member of the Bethel Assembly of God more than 30 years. A member of the Eastern Star Paxton Chapter. She loved crossword puzzles and crochet. He favorite snack was Mountain Dew drink and Butterfinger candy.
Survivors are daughter, Margie Henderson, Paxton, 2 sons, Charles Gilley and wife Pat of Laurel Hill, Bobby Gilley and wife Vickie of Lockhart, 16 grand children, 31 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren, aunt, Juanita Bearry of Seffner, Florida and uncle, Aldon George of Brandon, Florida, and a special niece, Marie Price. She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Palmer Lee (Bud) Gilley.
Funeral service 2PM Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Evans Funeral Home with Bob Smith officiating. Interment in the Paxton Cemetery.
