Sylvester Lester (Buster) Craft
"The Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away, blessed be the Name of the Lord."
Lester began his journey in life on August 29, 1940 in Walthall County, Mississippi. He was born to the late Willie Craft Sr. and the late Alneder Bridges Craft. Lester was also preceded in death by one sister, Arlene, and two brothers, Johnnie B. and Matthew. Lester was known to his parents as LS, to his siblings and close cousins as Buster, and to all of his friends as Lester.
He moved to Pontiac, Michigan as a young man and began his working career as a certified welder at General Motors Truck and Bus until his retirement.
He was truly dedicated to his recreational activities of hunting, fishing and enjoyed the time spent training his dogs to be great hunters. He enjoyed watching old westerns, listening to the blues, gardening, cooking and canning his harvest.
He leaves to celebrate his life and cherish his precious memories his five daughters, Shenita Arlene, A.Cassandra, Alice, Lessa, and Stacey. Two sons, Lester Bernard, Willie. Three sisters, Jerry Dean, Oneder, and Cynthia. Two brothers, Willie Earl and Jimmie. Four sisters in law, Emma Jean, Betty Jean, Mildred and Dornis. His twelve precious grandchildren: Grandsons: Bernard Charles, Leon, Bilvonte, Chris Arron, Cameron, Jeremiah, and Myles Jacob. Granddaughters: Portia, Shardaisha, Myeka, Stephanie, and Jamaria. A host of nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
Services will be 7pm Thursday, 5/10/12, at Washington Funeral Home, Tylertown, MS.
