Deacon Franklin N. "Pistol" Mikell, age 76, passed away on Thursday morning May 3rd at Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility after an extended illness. He was a Bulloch County native and retired as a self-employed contractor with Mikell Constructor Company. He was a member of the Mount Oliff Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon.

He is survived by his wife Mrs. Pinkie Rich Mikell of Statesboro, Ga.; two daughters Mrs. Teresa(Norris) Jackson of Statesboro, Ga., and Ms. Maggie Mikell of Casselberry, Fl.; three sons Mr. Franklin N.(Dieon) Mikell Jr. of Orlando, Fl., Mr. Daniel Rich of Statesboro, Ga., and Mr. Enrico Mikell of Atlanta, Ga.; a sister Mrs. Geraldine Boyd of Macon, Ga.; a very close and special cousin Mr. Clinton(Mary Alice) Brown of Nevils, Ga.; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Wednesday May 9, 2012 at 11am at Trinity Baptist Church, 1172 Nevil-Daisy Road, Denmark, Ga., with Bishop A.C. Pierce, Officiating. Interment will be in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery, Harville Road, Statesboro, Ga.

Family visitations will be Tuesday May 8, 2012 from 6-8pm at Mount Oliff Baptist Church, Nevil-Daisy Road.
