Bess M. Elliott

Bess M. Elliott, age 75, of New Cambria, Missouri died Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at her home. Bess was born at Crain, TX on October 17, 1936 to Walter and Eva M. (Hughes) Richards. She married Charles F. Elliott on July 22, 2003 at Laramie, Wyoming and he survives her. Bess was a homemaker, a member of the St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church in Wien, and an area resident since 1970. She is survived by her husband Charles Elliott, of the home in New Cambria; one son, Larry Henry and wife Renee, Manhattan, KS; four daughters, Sue Graves, Kansas City, MO; Christina Meissen and husband Donald, New Cambria; Jimmie Kay Niemeier, New Cambria; and Christine Elliott, Macon; grandchildren, Jess and husband JT Collor, Lucas Graves, Chelsea, Molly and Haley Meissen, Savanna and husband Jerry Terrell, Amanda and husband Chad Bork, Nicholas Niemeier, Danielle, Naomi and Caitlin, Henry, and great grandchildren, Hudson Collor , Trevor and Trace Terrell, and Tate and Eliot Bork. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Art and Walt Richards, great granddaughter Teah Collor, and stepson Stephen Elliott. Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Delaney Funeral Home in Marceline with Rev. Jim Bolin officiating. Burial will be in Parklawn Cemetery, Brookfield. Visitation will be held Saturday from 10 A.M. until time of services at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Nicholas Niemeier, Lucas Graves, Jerry Terrell, Chad Bork, Travis Duncan, and Loren Niemeier. The family suggest memorials be made to Little Learners Preschool in New Cambria and these may be left at or mailed to Delaney Funeral Home 1720 N. Missouri Ave., Marceline, MO 64658.
