Minnie Sanders, 72 of Paris, MO passed away on Tuesday, May 01, 2012 at her home after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Sanders was born on May 12, 1939 in Lakenan, MO the daughter of Virgil Allen and Jewell Bernice Dye Wilhoit. She married Richard Sanders on February 23, 1958 in Hunnewell, MO. He survives at home. Other survivors include three children; Karla Rae (Paul) Buffington of Salisbury, MO, Kimberly Renee (Charley) Branham of Troy, MO and Richard Kelly Sanders of Paris, MO; three sisters, Betty (Bob)Johnson of Georgia, Virginia (Zeke) Templeman of Texas and Bernice Wilhoit of Illinois; four brothers, Walter (Judy) Wilhoit of Lentner, MO, Weldon (Kathy) Wilhoit of Cameron, MO, Virgil (Janie) Wilhoit of Moberly, MO and Ronnie (Kay) Wilhoit of Arizona; and six grandchildren; Kara (Lucas) Bergfield, Chris Buffington, Nathan, Neil and Jackey Branhan and Krystal Sanders. She was preceded in death by one sister, Billie Ray in 1988 and a set of twin siblings, James Francis and Marilyn Sue Wilhoit.
She attended the Granville Christian Church. She recently retired from Paris R-II School District after 30 years of service, where she worked as a custodian.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at Agnew Funeral Home with Reverend Fran Schnarre officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Shelbina City Cemetery.
