Anna Doris (Gilgun) Barbieri, age 91, a longtime resident of Framingham, died, Sunday, April 29, 2012 at Cypress Cove Care Center, Crystal River, FL. She was the wife of the late Louis “Blue Jay” Barbieri who died in 1977. Born in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late James F. and Mary J. (Murphy) Gilgun. Mrs. Barbieri worked as a Deputy Sherriff for the Middlesex Deputy Sherriff’s Office. She was an active member at St. Tarcisius Church and a member of the St. Ann Society and St. Tarcisius Parish Guild. She was also a Board Member for over 20 years of the Framingham Union Hospital Aid Association.

She is survived by her children, Jane Chapin and her husband Burton “Butch” of Homosassa, FL, Louis J. Barbieri, Jr. and his wife Sandra Lynn of Lecanto, FL and Peter Richard Barbieri and his wife Diane Marie of Holliston; five grandchildren, Louis Barbieri, III and his wife Lisa Erin of Buckhead, GA, John Michael Barbieri and his wife Tiffany Ann of Poincianna, FL, Stephen Anthony Barbieri and his wife Amy of Citrus Springs, FL, and Lauren Rose Barbieri and Peter Richard Barbieri, Jr. both of Holliston. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren, Colin James Barbieri, Logan Gabriel Barbieri, Sophie Annabelle Barbieri, Louis Barbieri IV and her close friend Olga Tomasz.

Visiting hours at the Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech St. (Corner of Union Ave.), Framingham will be Friday from 4 – 8 PM.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Saturday, May 5, at 9 Am from the Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech St. (Corner of Union Ave.), Framingham followed by her Funeral mass at 10 AM at St. Tarcisius Church, 562 Waverly Street (Rt.135), Framingham.

Burial will follow at St. Tarcisius Cemetery, Framingham.
