Memorial service for Lib Laswell Whitesides, age 91, of Pinehurst, NC who died Monday, April 23, 2012, at Magnolia Gardens Assisted Living, will be 1:00 pm Saturday, April 28, 2012 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, New Smyrna Beach, FL. Burial will follow at Edgewater-New Smyrna Cemetery.

Born in Woodville, FL, she was a graduate of Altamonte Springs, Florida High School. She was co-owner and operator of Mike & Lib's Grill for more than 25 years, and a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in New Smyrna Beach more than 50 years.

Survivors include one son, Mike Laswell, Pinehurst, NC; two daughters-in-law, Pam Booth Laswell, Pinehurst, NC and Dottie Laswell, Edgewater, FL; three grandchildren, Beth Schinstock, Annandale, VA; Kim Mackey, Vass, NC; and Holly Diaz, Edgewater, FL; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by first husband Mike Laswell, Sr.; a son, Bill Laswell; and a second husband, Bob Whitesides.
