Bruce Alexander Bare, Sr.

Mr. Bruce Alexander Bare, Sr., age 59, of Sydney Lane, North Wilkesboro, died Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at his home. Mr. Bare was born March 29, 1953 in Ashe County to Harry and Danish Combs Bare. He was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church and was employed with Tyson Foods as a security guard. Mr. Bare was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Lesily Wheeler Uptain.

Surviving are his wife, Margaret Ashley Bare of the home; his children, son, Jody Bare and wife Amber of Woodleaf, son, Jason Bare and fiance Sabrina of North Wilkesboro, daughter, Donna Welborn and husband Jeremy of North Wilkesboro, son, Bruce Bare, Jr., and wife Patricia of Rock Creek; his mother, Danish Combs Uptain and husband Jerry of North Wilkesboro; two brothers, Roy Bare of North Wilkesboro, Junior Uptain of Roaring River; three sisters, Joyce Patrick of North Wilkesboro, Beth Propst of Hickory, Sherry Henderson of Lenoir; five grandchildren; and four step grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 o’clock Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Wilkesboro with the Rev. Walter Welborn, the Rev. Clifford Jones, and the Rev. Tom Moore officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Miller Funeral Service from 6:00 until 8:00 o’clock Friday night. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, C/O Lisa Bottomly, 4A Oak Brach Drive, Greensboro, NC 27407. Miller Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements. Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Jenkins, Dwight Patrick, Jr., Tyler Propst, Brandon Nelson, Jeremy Welborn and Cecil Bare.
