Born May 26, 1918 in Lansing, the daughter of the late Stephen & Rozalia (Siwek) Hlinka, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2012 in St. Johns at age 93. Anna and her family were founding members of St. Casimir Catholic Church and the Federated Polish Home of Lansing. She was an original founder of the St. Casimir Rosary Society which is now the Womens Guild. She retired from the State of Michigan-Treasury Dept after 17 years of service. She was especially proud of her Polish ancestry. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph in 1966. Surviving are 4 children: Joseph (Carol), James (Chloe), John (Gail) and Julia Ostrowski, 14 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 11:00AM at St. Casimir Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Bill Lugger as celebrant. Rite of committal will follow in Deepdale Memorial Park. Visitation is Sunday 2-4 & 6-8PM at the Palmer Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel, 520 E. Mt. Hope Ave, where the Rosary will be prayed at 7:30PM. Visitation continues at the church Monday at 10:00AM.
